About Us
Based in Europe, Stoneridge Electronics AB is a part of
the Stoneridge group, a leading independent designer
and manufacturer of highly engineered electrical and
electronic components, modules and systems.
The Stoneridge group has an annual turnover of close to
$700 million and just over 6,000 employees, of whom
550 work at Stoneridge Electronics. We develop and
produce vital and unique functions in the trucks, buses,
industrial-, and agricultural-machinery of today and tomorrow,
whilst maintaining development and production
costs at a competitive level.
Our concentration on heavy vehicles has given us the
right competence within our system, as well as a proper
understanding of customers’ specific requirements for
flexible solutions and short lead times. Because of these
factors we have quickly become an important partner to
the largest truck manufacturers in the world.

see ourselves as parts of the same team, and we think our
success depends on it. We work on site, hands-on, in order to help you find the
right solution on time. When extra capacity is needed,
our knowledgeable Stoneridge colleagues and valued
high-quality subcontractors stand by to assist us with
their experience of similar problem-solving processes.
Our philosophy throughout the production is based on
lean, waste free processes for manufacturing and all
supporting functions, including our own material suppliers.
We continually strive for “zero faults” and the manufacture
of each and every individual unit in the most cost
effective way. We utilize many of the leading cutting edge technologies in terms

of production lines, robot assembly, automatic test equipment and internal transport systems which enable us to efficiently manufacture electronic units in a safe, clean and operator friendly environment. With our production system, we have a very flexible tool which enables us to be able to handle a wide range of volumes. |
The race to be excellent in providing world class
technology, quality and logistics to the lowest price
on a global basis is a hard balance for any company
to achieve.
Within Stoneridge as a whole we strive continually for
Six Sigma in our design work, in order to facilitate
flawless production and to fulfil our quality goals of
problem-free deliveries.
In the book Six Sigma for the Next Millennium, published
by the American Society for Quality, you can find
Stoneridge Electronics in the Six Sigma successes
section, which describes the company’s multi-divisional
Six Sigma initiative, providing training at all levels.
From the floor up, all decisions and activities in manufacturing
work according to the principle “always right
from me”.

As vehicles become more sophisticated, their electronic content will continue to grow. The current global trend is toward multiplex vehicles with integrated power and data circuits that all must be monitored and kept in synchronization. This produces a lower-cost and more reliable vehicle, and provides a higher level of user information and diagnostics. It also requires manufacturers to include more electronic content in their vehicles. To take advantage of the latest technology shifts these customers need a |

provider that
knows how to integrate complex electronic systems
using the latest technology.
Stoneridge is the second largest and fastest growing
provider of digital tachograph systems, including
worldwide systems support.
Stoneridge develops, manufactures and provides a complete
range of tachographs, calibration programmers,
download tools and analysis software for workshops and
fleet owners.
