Stoneridge Electronics is the world leading tier 1 supplier of instrument clusters for commercial vehicles. We have developed a large number of instrument clusters, information displays for the leading manufacturers of trucks, buses, and tractors since 1988. Our clusters combine advanced TFT technology with high speed data buses and user friendly human machine interfaces. Stoneridge Electronics engineering department is well accustomed with the different electrical architectures, diagnostic and communication protocols in today’s vehicles.

Stoneridge Electronics has supplied tachographs for almost thirty years to all the major truck, bus, and van manufacturers in Europe. Over these years, the tachograph has developed from a largely mechanical device to one which is digital and fully integrated with the onboard vehicle electronics and communication systems. We export to more than 50 countries throughout the world, via a network comprising almost 2000 distributors and more than 5000 workshops.

Stoneridge Electronics has long and extensive experience in designing Electronic Control Units ECU). The Stoneridge Electronics engineering department has developed ECUs for a large number of different applications, from less complex units to high end vehicle control electronics all designed to operate in an automotive environment. Over the years we have been able to design ECUs that meet the customer’s requirements in a very cost-effective manner.

Our company's first development project concerned a Power Distribution Centre (PDC) for Volvo back in 1972. Over the years we have gained experience and knowledge that we can apply and use to improve the concept for many different applications and customers. The new generation of power distribution centres retains design flexibility for our customers and provides cost-effectiveness for the high volume segment.

Stoneridge Electronics has extensive experience of designing customer actuated switches. The ever increasing demand for fewer cables and additional functionality leads to systems with greater degrees of distribution. In a distributed system, the processing power and function are located near the location of the actuator and Stoneridge Electronics works closely together with its customers to find the best and most cost-effective solution for each application.
